When you talk about bullying act like you are a bully and like picking on people. Start picking on the interviewer. Then break down and tell them you were always bullyed and you were getting along fine until they brought it up and why can't people just leave you alone about this stuff.

Or just keep saying...Bullying. It's baaad, mmmkay.

If anyone tried to be a bully in my neighborhood growing up, I sicked my Dad on them. We had empty lots behind our house and a lot of neighborhood kids played there. If someone acted a bully Dad would go to their parents. One of them the kid got grounded for two weeks, when he came back he was a nice guy. There were 3 others. Their parents acted like they didn't care. My Dad whipped off his belt and whooped the kids a55 right in front of the parents. Then told them if he saw or heard of their kid acting up and bullying the other kids he would do it again. Two of them their families moved away within a month. The other one was from 3 blocks away and we never saw him again.

Last year our youngest had to deal with a bully on the bus. The bully was picking on Jacob's best friend and taking his stuff and then the bully spit on both of them. The only reason the bully did not have a bloody nose is because Jacob's arm was too short. The admin wanted to talk to us but I didn't see anything wrong with what Jacob did, other than missing. He hasn't had any issues with that kid this year. He normally doesn't want to fight, but don't mess with his friends.

By the way, in the upper 50s and sunny here still and deer season starts Saturday. A few years ago it was -15* opening day. I don't think we will even have snow this year.

Our Jacob had a problem with a bully a few weeks ago. My son wasn't scared as much as frustrated that he couldn't just beat the kid up. We explained the consequences of that and reinforced the "tell an adult" option. He finally did and the kid was removed from school for a few days.

The VP told us that the kid was picking on several students but ours was the only one that spoke up. Come to find out from Jake that the kid was picking on one of his friends and that made him mad enough to talk about it.

Haven't got the call yet so I'm hoping that they don't want to talk to me.

We had a bully on our school bus. He was always picking on kids on the bus and taking their stuff, sometimes throwing it out the window. The driver even went and complained at his house. The grandmother came to the bus and instead of apologizing for the kid tried to tell the kids on the bus what a ruff life he had and to be nice to him. Think most of the kids were shocked. The bus driver told his grandmother that he was no longer welcome on the bus.

That summer I had just gotten by first 10 speed bike, it was expensive and bought with my own money. Was riding it around. As I passed the corner onto my street this kid that was a well known bully jumped out of the bushes of a neighbor kids house across the street from his taunted and threw a rock at me. He missed so ignored him and rode on. Later he and the kid that lived in the house both taunted and threw rocks at me. They both missed so I just kept riding. Remember thinking I was going so fast they couldn't even hit me. Pretty happy with my new fast 10 speed racer.

Later as I went by the same house they threw rocks at me again. This time one of them hit my new bike and chipped the paint. That really pissed me off. Went back jumped off my bike and they ran into the kids house. Yelled that if they threw any more rocks at me I was going to beat them senseless. The bully's bike was in the driveway, as I passed it I picked it up and threw it across the yard. Got on my new bike and rode off.

When I went by again some time later the bully very purposefully picked up a rock and threw it at me calling me names. I immediately went on chase. He ran across the street to his house. Caught up with him just as he opened his front door. I landed with both feet planted on the back and kicked, launching him into his house. I turned and started walking back to my bike. His Dad jumped up out of his lazy boy and came out. I didn't look back, just kept walking. The Dad yelled at me to stop and he was going to beat the ship out of me. I thought yeah right, like I'm gonna stop for that. Again didn't turn around, just kept walking. The Dad kept yelling and said he saw me getting off my bike and picking on those boys. As I got on my bike and started riding off I yelled, If you saw them you should have stopped them from throwing rocks at me.

I went home deciding to give up on riding my new bike for the rest of the day. About 15 minutes later the kids Dad shows up at our front door. I see who it is and tell my Dad who it is and what had happened before he answered the door. When Dad answered the door the other Dad started ranting an pointing at me on the couch. Dad didn't let him in. Instead Dad walked the man the block back to his house and returned. When Dad got back he told me I shouldn't have any more problems with those two and if I did to not do anything but to come get him. Don't know what Dad said or did, but thought it was weird that Dad walked him home. About a month later the bully and his family moved away.

Instead of a BB gun I first had a really cool Daniel Boon flintlock cap rifle. It fired caps and shot cork balls that you muzzle loaded it with. It even had a tamping rod to push the cork balls down into the barrel like a real muzzle loader.

One day while we were playing in the lots behind our house a kid from 3 blocks away had come over and was trying to bully the kids in the group. After about an hour of that he grabbed my rifle and ran home. I followed and found out where he lived, then went and got my Dad.

We went to the kids house. The parents just sat on the couch. He told them their kid had been bullying the other kids and stole my cap gun rifle. They said their kid wouldn't do that. He told the kid to get the rifle. The kid went to his room and came out with it. The parents said it was his. My Dad grabbed it and asked if their son's name was KENT, because my name was Kent and that is the name scratched on the butt of the gun. They said they just didn't know how their son got it. The kid just grinned.

My Dad asked if they were going to do anything about it. When they said no, what for? My Dad proceeded to grab the kid, whip off his belt and gave the kid a whipping until he started crying. Right in front of me and the parents. All the time telling the parents that lots of the neighbor kids come play in the vacant lots behind our house. And he would not put up with any of the kids being mean, bullying, or stealing from the other kids. And if the parents didn't make sure their kids behaved he would. And if their kid did anything like that again he would get more of the same. Then we left. Never saw the kid again.

Bullies didn't last long in our neighborhood.
If I had kids and tried to take care of bullies like my Dad did today, I would probably be in jail. I do know that it sure worked though.

When I was in 9th grade we lived in Waipahu, HI. I was one of the two white kids in the school. Bullying was a daily experience and every Friday was kill haole day so even more kids had "fun." Even Chuck Norris can't whip an entire school of bullies, especially when some were upperclassmen and Samoan.

The principal and the majority of the teachers would not do anything. There was only one teacher, the shop teacher that would do anything. I saw that teacher grab one of the biggest Samoan boys by the throat and slap him around. He told that boy if he hears about him doing anything further to me he would drag his ass into that cane field behind the school and bury him. Then he told him if that little haole (me) has to run to class again he will break his legs. The bully believed him.

I had to run home more than a few times with several mokes chasing me. The other white kid was not in any classes with me so I had zero friends that year.

Racism ain't no fun.

I was thrilled when we got to move on base and go to a school the the mokes were not a problem because they were not a majority. There was no issues at all.

Our next move to Alabama the school was 75% black. I never had one single issue with racism there. The culture was totally different and it took me a few months to get to where I could understand them. Never any bully issues or racial issues.

I never really had a problem with bullies. Maybe once or twice but nothing memorable.

Joe, you know as soon as you get the issues worked out on that car you will be too far away to drive it!

Haven't had a chance to eat lunch yet. Been running errands AND keeping up with my job all day so far. Lunch suffered. Dropped by grocery store and was in such a rush forgot to get Cokes and Milk. Did remember toilet paper so will survive.

We were in Aukland yesterday and this morning. Now we're heading to the Bay of Islands. I'm not sure what's after that. Too bad our timing is off, Jeff. It would fun to unleash the two of us on the poor unsuspecting Kiwis.

Dave, we're supposed to tour Wellington and Christchurch, but how we get around and what we see/skip is TBD. Fingers crossed!

Some more crazy car stuff...

Looking at the 22in wheels on the turbo it looks like the fronts are a little wider than the fenders just barely stick out, and the rears and tucked behind the fender just a small amount. I never noticed that when those wheels were on the S.

Thought I could use the factory spacers that were already on the turbo with the 20 in factory wheels but the 22in wheels don't have the pockets machined to fit over bolt on factpry spacers.

Put the spacers on the rear of the S with the wheels that were on the Turbo and it looks normal. It doesn't look like the spacers made the rear stick out at all.

Talked with Wheel Enhancement about the 22 in wheels and the way the fronts stick out a little and if there were spacers for the rears that worked since the factory spacers did not. He said the 22 in wheels have two offsets. ET60 for the front and ET47 for the rear. And I could put some flat spacers on the rear to move the rears out like the fronts are, but he suggest I put the front offsets on the front and the rear offsets on the rear and see how I like it.

15 more min and I'm out of here for the night.
Tomorrow I have to check out of one hotel and then have a co-worker check in at another hotel and give me the keys.

Do you check out or sneak out? Have you been acting like a rock star and trashing the room?

Does the co-worker give you a key so the hotel doesn't know you are staying there?

I was always smaller than other kids so I was picked on lot until HS. In 6th grade this kid kept picking at me. Finally, after several days I hauled off and punched him in the face. He never bothered me again. Unfortunately, that summer he was in a bad car accident. He was the only survivor but was burnt very badly. My Dad was the insurance adjuster and I saw pictures of the vehicles. the boy came back to school late the next year and we had to watch movies about skin grafts and the recovery of burn patients.

No TV interview today. They decided not to talk to a parent.

Also found out a guy I graduated with was picked up in an online prostitution bust. He is a well respected doctor in our hometown and was one of the doctors that cared for my BIL for his heart surgery and recovery. Shocked would be an understatement for how I feel about it.

Hmmm, 6th grade.

The class I was in was half 6th graders and half 5th graders. The teacher would go over something then give an assignment to do while she taught the other grade. She was hot and drove a new Corvette. About the only thing I remember learning was the most popular surnames were Smith, Jones, Johnson, then Davis.

One of the kids kept bringing porno comics to class. Later in Jr High he got in trouble for drawing cartoon penises on everything. His comics were kinda late because some of the girls started having to wear bras the year before in 5th grade. That was when we got to watch sex ed and anti-drug films. Think the girls blossoming and the movies were related because they made a big deal about it so the girls sporting boobies wouldn't get teased.

Stayed in during recess for about a week to get to know a girl that never went out for recess. She wasn't bad looking or sick or anything. Still don't know why she always stayed in. Decided she was a weirdo. Overly into dark stuff like Tara cards, crystals, and Ouija boards. That's all she would talk about. She dressed like a fortune teller Gypsy.

There was a girl in class named Rice Corn. She was adamant about her first name being pronounced Reesa.

A friend an I spent most of our recesses playing basketball with two of the 5th graders that were on their churches basketball team.

Me and a couple of the 5th graders were discussing Pro Wrestling and started wrestling each other to prove how fake it was. The teacher monitoring the playground thought we were fighting and sent us to the principal's office. Spent most of the rest of the day in "the office." They left us alone a long time probably hoping we would start fighting again. When we didn't the principle finally came in and asked us what was going on. We told him about the Pro Wrestling thing and he just laughed and sent us back to class.

Oh yeah, I had a Bonanza lunch box all thru Elementary school.
