Today I went to the body shop for the last time to pick up some small parts and the stuff he needed to fit like rear lights. Next Monday he promised to deliver the tub

something about fresh new paint...almost like driving thu the country and smelling freshly cut fields of hay...maybe its just me...great paint job & you painted everything...very nice...happy holidays roland...

Not easy to find something bigger here in Switzerland, even more difficult in the near and payable... That is one of the most impressive "Porsche on a trailer" pictures I have ever seen! Porsche should hire you to show case their work.
And I have never seen the wheel flares limit based on the garage width but there is a first for every thing. |

First issues are already there:
When I fitted the front arms with the RSR bushes, I could not align them to rotate free without binding. Reason is the aluminum crossmember is higher and the front busher lower (more antidive) in a 930 than in a 911. Therefore the rear bushing block, which is only possible to adjust sideways, not in the vertical angle, cannot be compensate the slight downward line of the A-arm. Only if I mount the front bushes without the self-aligning washers, then it will rotate free, because the front bushe is higher then... The only solution I see, is to make a thicker spacer than stock (about 1mm seems to be enough)on top of the crossmember. As soon I loosen the crossmember, binding stops... Also I tried to flip the front bushes upside-down, same thing. Does someone else had this problem too? ![]()

If both bushings had the spherical washers then you could enlarge the hole in the female washers by a mm or so and that would give you a little more misalignment capability. However that rear bushing being tight in the crossmember doesn't give you that option. So I think you will have to make the spacer to align the front level with the rear and reduce the anti-dive. Have you talked to Clint? I don't remember hearing about problems with other 930s.
If you really wanted to keep the anti-dive you could probably shave down the thickness of the rear block a little to give you some room for misalignment and put a counterbore for more spherical washers, or just shave it down a lot and not need the counterbore.

Still binding
Now I mounted a 1mm spacer to the stock one to see, how it works. Better, but still not enough. Because I don't want to loose the benefits of the anti-dive and won't change the suspension geometrie, I decided to go a different path now:
-Mount the beam with a bigger but same height spacer to get a more rigid connection -Shave the bearing block to add spherical shims like at the front bush. This way I am sure to avoid any binding and alignment issue. in this point the ER sphericals are superior, aligning in the rear bearing as well...
