MFI information wanted
Hi,
I am rebuilding a 1973 911E, and would like to gather information regarding MFI pump. Would like to know how to calibrate and set up. Reason for rebuild is basically oil leak, but nice to look over other stuff as well. I have rebuild several 911 engines, but my first MFI system. All kind of information and links would be appreciated. Thanks Trond

Like Al suggested; Ultimate-MFI-Resources & MFI Check-Measure-Adjust. Sounds like you want to dig into the MFI pump, so I would suggest getting the DIY step-by-step guide written by Michael J. Burgess. His web site is: WELCOME - The Home of the DIY Step-by-Step Porsche 911 Guide. All the information you need to rebuild your MFI pump.

MFI magic
Trond,
Mark Jung...posted above...is the go to guy for MFI knowledge, rebuilds and tuning. When i was rebuilding my 71E, I took my pump apart to learn, refurb, etc............I was amazed by how the pump was actually like another little 6 cylinder engine......incredible design. (check out the pic below) I did my best and then I sent it to Mark to ensure that it was done right. Mark basically took it all apart, replaced all the gaskets, refurbed, dyno tuned etc and sent it back to me as new...............I bolted it in and fired it up. MFI is a great learning experience, made even better knowing that there are experts to back your play. ![]()

That's a great picture...just need the Lego style instructions to go with it as I start to experiment with MFI.

I'll take a wild guess. I don't see anything that looks like a cylinder head with injector line fittings on it.

Not the belt or injector lines/injectors. Just look closer at all the parts shown.

I think the space cam is there so how about the stylus?
But I also want to say the rear seal, even though the pump would still run, but just messy.

Good eye! I didn't catch the missing seal, but no that's not it. Stylus is there on the lever in the photo.

There should be two banjo fittings, one for oil and one for gas.
