While wwest might think he has scored some points there, he hasn't. Folks dont't run the AC in their garage in a closed car for an hour before showing vent temps. They are doing this stuff with the car doors open, during the charging and testing phase of the process. When people say what the climatic conditions are at the time of the test, they are giving a rough idea of what the inlet temp is. yes, over some time, you can get the cabin down to 60*F and nearly zero humidity. And then you can crank the thing up and get 23*F vent temps. But nobody is doing it like this, so its a bogus question.
"doors open" 95dF ambient, 30dF vent temperatures...

IMO only with a mighty slow, virtually stopped, evaporator blower speed.

65dF single pass temperature differential....???

One mighty good A/C...!!

And do we really want to trust that KelogGes abides by those conditions?

Ha! This ^^^ is what I meant by silly, but I was in too much of a hurry to look up the Bungholio vid to elaborate! Regardless, very well put, and my thoughts exactly on the whole(io) inlet-v-outlet topic.

REVERSING THE GASES IN THE EARLY MODEL 911 A/C SYSTEM THE A/C TEMPERATURE IS MUCH COLDER!

ALSO THE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE DOES NOT appreciably RISE WHEN THE A/C IS TURNED ON LIKE IT NORMALLY DOES!

TRY IT YOU WILL LIKE IT

Given that common sense, my mother would say horse sense, and logic dictates that the first statement is more likely wrong than otherwise, why would anyone, other than a complete and total IDIOT, spend the time, money and effort just to prove what is already well known and understood.

Somebody with a IR thermometer get readings at the inlet and outlet of front and rear condensers.

Like YOU with your mothers sayings and only your fan mentality not understanding anything about about the interaction of refrigerant gases, pressures, and heat exchange are ignorant to say the least; regarding the internationally proven Laws OF Thermodynamics logic

Porsche's engineers made a simple mistake I have discovered that continues to this day and fixed it by thinking outside the box

I have tested my discovery and installed it on 2 different early model 911's that are using my PFC's and proven it works; and its being installed on other early model 911's in south Florida by a well known Porsche repair Shop

I am bring this discovery forth and giving it to the world's early model Porsche's owners for free

"..well known Porsche repair shop...."

Then wouldn't be to their benefit to post their information..??

If I owned such a shop I would LOVE the positive exposure...

NOTHING beats FREE advertising.

You can't post your logical concept because it works but you don't understand why..??

Howdy George,

an IR thermometer works fine for reading surface temperatures

But Absolutely WILL NOT READ AIR TEMPERATURE

AIR CONDITIONING TEMPERATURE CAN NOT BE READ OR SENSED WITH AN IR GUN !

You need to use a THERMOMETER to read Accurate Air Conditioning Air Temperature !!!

PEOPLE WHO POST IR GUN PICTURES AIMED INTO AN AIR VENT SHOWING LOW TEMPERATURES BELOW 32 DEGREES AND SAY THEIR EVAPORATOR DOES NOT FREEZE UP DURING EXTENDED DRIVING ARE BS!!!

Written like someone who has an extremely low knowledge-level of mobile air conditioning; exactly what I've come to expect from you, Reid.

And I see that your reading skills are perhaps even weaker than your a/c skills considering George was not asking anyone to measure "air temperature" with a IR thermometer, but rather, the inlet and outlet surface temps of the condenser piping.

No doubt; I can't imagine that the shop would want anyone to think they are associated with you in any way at all.
