Us too. Usually try to catch up when they come out on Netflix or Amazon.

Get off my lawn!

Oh Golly what fun!
I finally got the pressure hose pulled through by myself. It required a few hundred times of sit on the floor, Pull and jiggle the hose, get up, go to the other end, repeat , over and over and over. For many HOURS. To do the return line I asked my business partner to come over this morning. Hook on the new hose and it was done in 3 minutes tops. I did my Snoopy Happy dance and then sat down to hook the hoses back the the steel hoses in the back. An hour or so later, done. Then the front. The hoses I got are great, but would be fantastic is they were 3/4 of inch longer. The fitting is JUST sticking out of the firewall. Tied a piece of wire to both to prevent them from going back into the tunnel. Hour and a half later, the front hoses are connected to the fuel pump or the gas tank as appropriate. Then "just" insert the new grommets. The hoses come with a nice set of 4 grommets. They are split and one "just snaps them over the line and pushes them into the body of the car" yea right. That took a while. Lots more cussing. The fuel lines are all connected, grommets inserted, fuel pump hooked up, and transmission cross-member in place. All it needs is some gas in the tank for a "leak test" and then reassemble the interior. Put back the skid plate and ta da! Maybe another half day. I had to change hats and "go" to work. Dang boss makes me work on his car and then expects me to get all my work done as well.

I so much like the stuff on the Cobra when it comes to that stuff.
The only hard part I have coming up is to be able to program the fuel gauge. It has to be told when the tanks is empty and full. Getting it full is easy. To drain it I will have to put it up on a lift or stands and pull the fuel line off the big filter on the frame rail and let it siphon out a gallon at a time.

For getting the gas out of the 911 I got out my 5 gallon gas can, and 2 gallon can. Stare with the 5 gallon tank and a 4 foot hose, drain into that one and put the 2 gallon tank in place, pour the 5 gallons into the Elky, Swap tanks, and repeat until empty. The Elky was full at the perfect time, I still had 4 gallons of gas to pour into the tank of the 911 to get to a gas station.
The Elky gets a tank of premium and the 911 is empty.

Easy if you have a lift.
I think I could replace all the fuel line up to the mechanical pump in 30 minutes though. I wish I had a lift some days.

Like your Cobra, neither car has ever had a ABS or traction control module issue. I have never worried about a water pump, ABS, Airbags, Power Steering or the navigation system on the 911. Never will.

Good Morining.
The recycle collection is freakin noisey! Woke me up with all their rattling and banging. We changed to a big dump bin for recyclables so the collection guy did not have to get out of the vehicle and manually dump the little bins.

that's the same here but I'm at work by the time they get to my house so I don't have to listen to the noise.

They came by here before 6:00 AM. Everyone has to put the bins out the night before.
Phew, up to the 90% range done on my fuel leak issue. Putting the seats back in. Adjust the clutch, and double check every bolt for torque, and done. I did start the engine and no leaks! I did another Snoopy Happy dance. A short one, I am too sore and tired to happy dance for long. Ah well, I snarfed a sandwich and it is back to repair work. I have to shut down about 1:00 PM to get to the airport, hook up the equipment and go fly a project. Earn some money to pay for the parts on the 911.

Good work! Like you said, at least you didn't have to drop a tank form under a pickup bed over an axle or anything.
No clutch on the Cobra means a rebuild kit for the slave and a new master assembly. The fluid is still dark coming out and it goes out the boot now instead of moving the piston. This is one of the few places that is a pain to get to. Just ABOVE that side vent is where the master is. There is no room for hands up there! When I pull the cap of the master, mu knuckles rub the fender.

I’m pretty wiry, so I usually can contort my body to get to difficult-to-reach parts on my Z. I do come away with bruises and muscle aches, befitting my age.
![]() Great looking Cobra, Brent! It needs meatballs on the doors.

That isn't mine, just a side picture to show where the hands have to go. The headers run a few inches away also which I am sure plays a part in it, even with the heat shield.

I am pretty wiry too, just heavy gauge with plenty of insulation.
For sure meatballs with a number in them. I can get the static cling for it that work well. Hmm, what number to put in there...

Whew, the bottom of the 911 is DONE. All I have left is to put the center console back in place and bolt up the seats. And then I am gonna go drive it some.
I had to shut down the mechanic work cause the boss man says go flying and earn some money. We may be dodging some clouds which ain't no fun.

Jim, that is close to the color I chose for the Cobra, though the 911 is a little more red.
3M Wicked.
