On the Satellite it had nothing to do with speed or aero, it was all suspension.
It would sink down in the rear as the suspension loaded (without the tires spinning). This loaded the rear tires to keep them from spinning. It didn't raise the front end. It would bust the passenger side motor mount before it would break the tires loose. As it started rolling it released the tension built up in the suspension and the rear would lift back up. Within less than a foot the rear would have raised back up and it would accelerate hard enough to pin you back in the seat. Those mechanics really had that suspension set for launching!

Glad i work from home. Men have to wear long pants. I got in trouble for wearing shorts when all I was there for was to piss in a cup. And that was in a building separate from the rest of the company. AND it was during the hot part of the summer.
Emailed the other server manager and asked why my scriots were runining so slow on the AD master. It showed it was loading commands from a non-local drive. He answered say he did not understand what I was asking. I tried running a script so I could give him a screen shot, and zip it was loading AD commands from C drive really fast again. Claimed he didn't do anything. I hate that when people don't admit they were mucking about and it caused problems. He's done the same type of thing on our 365 online stuff. I had to confront him about 365 because there are audit trails of who did what support gave me. Dislike working with people like that.

We had a big corporate meeting. The official dress code is shorts and t-shirt whenever we want, and formal wear is Jeans with no grease stains and a polo shirt.

At least here I have very few people to blame. Mostly the IT Director, but I eat his lunch everyday so he fixes things pretty quick when he tries to brick something.

I don't want to blame the guy for stuff that quits working. I just want to know why so I don't have to waste my time trying to fix it. Especially when after I notice something he says he doesn't know what I'm talking about . Then after I've gone in and checked settings then recheck and it suddenly starts working again. grrrr.
We've even that both the director and vp of IT tell everyone if you change something without getting approval from them you get fired. That's how bad is has gotten.

His IT Director probably brings a crappy lunch too!
Steak and Jalapeno burrito with chips and a blood orange today.

My business partner has waited until 5:00 PM to take his "morning shower." and only because his girlfriend was coming over after she got off work.
He had spent the day in his jammies. It has happened many times. He gets up to check one part of a project, and goes down to rabbit hole of "one more thing" then get showered and dressed. I am old school enough to still take the newspaper. I go outside every morning to get it. I just go ahead and get dressed, and "go to work" in my home office. If I take a shower before my wife, she has to wipe down the shower walls and I don't have to. Of course sometimes she does not get out of bed until 9:00 AM.

My wife and I just arrived in San Jose, Costa Rica. It’s not snowing here, either. So, when retirees go away on vacation, what’s that called?

It is a cold day here today. The mean old boss is gonna make me go work on his 911.
The AC system is great for an air cooled 911. The evaporator blower, the one that blows the cold air on the people in the car is the stock blower. That changes today. I am installing the upgraded blower form Griffith's and it is 30% more air. Since my brother is riding with me to south Florida in July, he will want more air than my wife typically does. I am also changing out the fan speed switch. The factory one has a low that is basically super low, medium that is OK on 70 degree days, but still a little slow, and them full blast. The new switch is totally variable, so any speed I want, and it has an indicator light to tell me if the compressor is running or not.

Golly gee I am having fun. I looked in my repair notes for the 911. I replaced the fan motor in 1999 so in the last millennium. It has seen a lot of use, in those 20 years. It has served me well. It had no symptoms, and worked fine, but the brushes are worn down to the nubs, and it was time to replace it. Problem is, it does not want to let go of the fan. I have it soaking in penetrating oil, and I stopped for lunch.
I upgraded the entire system to the Kehul system in 2007, but I did not replace the fan as it was fine. Now the fan is decided to be a challenge. Last time I saw the fan, was when I was replacing the evaporator, and I put the ac box together on my work bench as a unit. Now just the top comes out to keep me from having to evacuate the refrigerant. It is lots more fiddly to do it that way. I even had to run to Harbor Freight to buy a super long #1 Phillips screw driver to get to one screw. It will be super fun to get it back in.

Went to get a cofifey this morning early and oh man, it was actually icy. And it was the dangerous icy. If was not icey at all on the neighborhood side streets, but that slick smooth black ice out on the main streets.
Didn't have a bit of trouble getting around on it in the Cayenne though. Could hear a tire spin a little here and there, but it just drove, i.e. accelerated, turned, and braked. Must be all that traction control stuff. There wasn't even any traffic when I went to grab some onion rings at lunch and it was not slick at all by then. Still a little cold at 21°F, but not slick and nobody out.

Doesn’t cofifey normally come with ice?
